Titan Families,
As we enter into cold and flu season, this is a friendly reminder that after illness, students should be fever-free and have no signs of a fever (chills, feeling very warm, flushed appearance, or sweating) without the use of fever-reducing medicine for at least 24 hours before returning to school. This is in accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines to reduce illness. Students should also follow these same guidelines for vomiting and episodes of diarrhea. We appreciate your help as we work to keep our students happy and healthy this winter season. Go Titans!

This week is Computer Science Education Week. Click on the link below to learn how your student can join other Titan students and thousands around the globe by taking part in Hour of Code and other Computer Science activities!

Great things are happening at South Henry!

The Lady Titan Youth basketball practice is canceled for this evening, December 1st. Games are still on this Saturday, Dec 3rd starting at 1. December schedules and announcement papers will be handed out this Saturday. Thank you, Coach Cook.

The first of every month is a great day at Tri Elementary. It means that we recognize those students that were nominated by their teachers to be the Titan of the month! These students were nominated because they have been respectful, responsible, and ready to learn. We are so proud of these students for their hard work and dedication. Go, Titans! 🏆

Congratulations to the Tri Elementary School Spell Bowl Team for finishing in first place in their division at their local competition this past week and 54th overall in Indiana. Thank you to Ms. Farris for coaching and Mrs. Nolley for proctoring. Job well done!

As previously announced, our very own Tri Jr./Sr. High School principal, Mr. Scott Widner, was named the 2022 Indiana Association of School Principals Region 6 Principal of the Year. He finally received his hardware and was recognized at a banquet this past weekend. We are incredibly fortunate to have Mr. Widner leading our Titan family!

GO TITANS!

Our school skating party is tonight! See you there!

Check it out! Our very own, Amy Stevens, had the opportunity to present with the AppleEDU team at Indiana largest EdTech conference, HECC, this week. It is so great to see those in our Titan family making a difference both here at Tri and beyond. Great things are happening at South Henry!

Our 2022 Veteran's Day Program was a success! Thank you all of those who helped make this special day of recognition happen. More importantly, A HUGE TITAN THANK YOU to the many men and women in our community and beyond who have selflessly served so that we may enjoy the blessings of freedom. We are grateful! Great things are happening at South Henry!

Our next school skating party will be Tuesday, November 15th! We can’t wait for another awesome opportunity at The Rink!🛼

It’s #TitanTuesday 📣 Here is a Titan shoutout to 3 random staff members who make Tri Elementary a better place.
Mr. Grider is our SRO who keeps our students safe. You can find him in the cafeteria every day watching and interacting with students. He checks doors every single morning making sure they are locked. He roams the school halls doing random checks. We are so appreciative of everything he does for us!
Mr. Kendall is our TES school social worker. You can find him meeting with students one on one teaching them life skills. You can find him teaching small group social skills. He loves to encourage students and make sure they are doing their best. He is an amazing addition to our school!
Last but not least, Mrs. Davis! We all know that she is the glue of our elementary. You can find her and her smiling face when you enter the doors. She is there answering phones, running errands, sending reminders, and doing tasks for our staff. The school would not function without her!
Thank you to all 3 of these amazing people who make a difference in students lives every day. 👏🏻📣

This is a reminder that tickets are on sale in the office for our upcoming daddy/daughter dance. You can send in cash or check with your student or bring in a credit card for payment. Tickets can be bought at the door but presale will help with count for seating and food. We would appreciate you purchasing in advance. Thank you!

The Middletown Lions Club were wonderful individuals who volunteered their time to complete vision screeners for our 3rd, 5th, and 8th graders. Thank you so much for helping our staff and students! ⭐️ We are so grateful for their help!

Today was an amazing day at South Henry! Every year, Tri Elementary is supported by Kiwanis. A survey is sent out at the beginning of the year to teachers to nominate students who need a new pair of shoes. 👟Those students are fitted and given a brand new pair of shoes to keep at no charge. Those students had their shoes delivered today! This is an amazing blessing to our students. Thank you to the Kiwanis shoe volunteers for coming and making this possible! Our community and staff are so grateful! 👏🏻
It’s always a great day to be a Titan! ⭐️

Mark your calendars! 🗓️

A huge shoutout to our 3rd/4th grade and 5th/6th grade cheerleaders! They had their cheerleading competition tonight and did a wonderful job. Our cheer section was full. Thank you to all of their supporters who came to cheer them on. #WeAreTriTitans
