Sup Message

South Henry Family,

We were made aware at approximately 5:45AM this morning of an emailed bomb threat sent to roughly 40 school corporations across the state of Indiana.  It is important to note that the South Henry School Corporation WAS NOT a recipient of the email and DID NOT receive this threat.

Out of an abundance of caution, our School Resource Officer, school administration, and maintenance staff did a thorough sweep of the building prior to the arrival of students and found nothing out of the ordinary or concerning.  Again, this was out of an abundance of caution, not because South Henry received a threat to student and staff safety.

The Indiana State Police issued a statement shortly before 9:15 a.m. this morning that included the following:

“Early this morning, the Indiana State Police was made aware of an email message sent to several dozen Indiana schools threatening the use of explosive devices that had allegedly been planted on various school campuses. We immediately allocated all intelligence resources to investigate the validity of the threat, to include communication with the Department of Education, our local, county, and federal law enforcement partners. At this time no suspicious or explosive devices have been found in any of our schools. The investigation into the origin of this threat is ongoing.”

The safety of the entire South Henry Family is always of utmost importance.  We thank you for your support as we take continued steps to keep our students and staff safe and healthy.

GO TITANS!

Sincerely,

Jeremy Duncan

Superintendent, South Henry School Corporation
