Today is November 1st, which means we honored our Titans of the month for October today! Here is a picture of our amazing October Titans of the month. These students were respectful, responsible, and ready to learn all month. We are so proud of our amazing Titans. 🎉

It’s #TitanTuesday ! 📣 At TES we have many amazing things happening. One great opportunity that our students have is called “Book Club.” During reading success, students rotate to groups to meet their needs. Book club is a great way for students to experience multiple different genres of books. Including historical fiction, realistic fiction, nonfiction, etc. Our 3rd grade students recently finished a realistic fiction book about the Titanic. Thank you to our instructional assistants and Mrs. Chew for supporting our book clubs! Way to go, Titans! 📚 #WeAreTriTitans

Thank you in advance for everyone who comes and supports our elementary Titan cheerleaders! 📣

The National Honor Society is selling “Proud Titan Family” yard signs for $15.00. Please contact sguarisco@shenry.k12.in.us or njones@southhenry.org if interested. Also, you can see any National Honor Society members if you want to purchase a sign. We must have money at the time of order. Thanks!

We are looking forward to this really special event!

Thank you in advance for your support of Tri Elementary School's Food Drive sponsored by the Titan Times Newspaper.

It’s #TitanTuesday ! 📣 Who has their thinking caps on!? Our first graders do! Mrs. Stewart is teaching ways for students to prepare for their upcoming assessments. They have their “thinking caps” to remind them to use the strategies they have learned. They are trying their best every single day and showing Titan Pride. Way to go Titans! #WeAreTriTitans

🌧️ ❄️ With the weather temperatures at a steady decrease, here is a reminder about our recess guidelines based on a school handbook.
Recess Weather Guidelines
Students are expected to wear appropriate attire (e.g., hats, gloves, warm coats) so that they can enjoy the outdoors during recess, even in cold weather months. Recess is held inside if snow, ice, wind chill, rain or actual temperatures make it unsafe to be outdoors. Generally, we go outside if the temperatures are at or above 30 degrees Fahrenheit and/or the windchill is 30 degrees Fahrenheit or higher.
Let’s make sure to keep our Titans bundled up!

The South Henry School Corporation continues to work hard to stay on the front edge of new and exciting initiatives across the state of Indiana. With this said, we learned today that we were one of only 30 corporations in the state awarded the Digital Learning Coach Mini-Grant through the Indiana Department of Education. This grant will allow our amazing elementary PLTW teacher, Amy Stevens, to seek ISTE certification. This certification helps ambitious educators like Mrs. Stevens catalyze learning through the use of technology.
Great things are happening at South Henry!

Our Titans were spotted at the skating rink! 🛼it’s always an exciting experience to meet outside of school for some fun. There were many students, parents, and teachers in attendance! Thank you to The Rink for sponsoring our school skate days.
