Congratulations to our August Titans of the month! ๐
These students were nominated by their teachers for following our Titan values every single day. Those values are "be respectful, be responsible, be ready to learn, and be kind." This is a huge accomplishment, so each student received a certificate from their principal this morning! Way to go, Titans!
At the South Henry School Corporation, we are committed to helping our students find their Path to Purpose. This includes exploring students' passions and gifts, exposure to careers in our community and beyond where gainful employment can be found, and authentic opportunities to experience career pathways. Additionally, we will work hard to help students build the necessary academic, durable, and employability skills for success on their path. It is our hope that after their South Henry journey is through, graduation isn't seen as a finish line for our students, but rather a launching pad toward their Path to Purpose through enrollment, enlistment, or employment.
Great things are happening at South Henry!
Mrs. Millers kindergarten class learned about friendship by making friendship salad! The students really enjoyed this lesson and even shared their friendship salad with Mrs. Hamm. Way to go, Kindergarten Titans!

Calling all Titan families! Our PTO meeting is TOMORROW! Don't miss this opportunity to get involved.
At Tri Elementary, we teach our Titans these values. Be Respectful, be responsible, be ready to learn, and be kind. We want our students and are staff to show these values in their words and their actions. At the end of every month, a teacher will nominate one student from their class that they feel show these values every day! As we enter the end of our first month of school, ask your student how they are showing these values in school. They might be nominated! ๐
๐ฅ BEHIND THE SCENES:
Jace is in the school building extra early every single day because his mom is a staff member here at TES. Without being asked, Jace has volunteered MANY times to help our cafeteria staff deliver our breakfast bags to each classroom before school begins. This just goes to show how amazing our TES students and staff are. We truly are a family!
Another huge shoutout to our cafeteria staff for prepping all of our students breakfast and lunch menu items. We could not function without you! โญ๏ธ
It's always a great day to be a Titan. ๐ช
Here are some snapshots of Mrs. Solomon's classroom this morning during their CKLA lesson. Students are learning about Classic Tales and using that knowledge to write their own opinion paragraphs. Way to to, Titans!

Update on Heat Advisory:
๐ง At TES, we have plenty of water fountains available for students. Plus, we have our easy to use water bottle filling stations as well. Students are allowed a water bottle in school to allow them to stay even more hydrated with less trips outside the classroom.
๐ณ Please be advised: Students will be participating in indoor recess tomorrow, August 24th, because of the high heat.
We want to make sure our students are happy AND healthy! Thank you, teachers and staff, for making Tri Elementary a great place to be. ๐

He is a huge reason why our student devices are safe, engaging, and ready to use! He is working alongside Mrs. Stevens to ensure that we make the most of our technology in the classroom. Mrs. Stevens is always looking for bigger and better ways for students to learn! We are so appreciative of both of them!

South Henry Family,
We continue to have regular issues with our phone connectivity. I truly apologize for any inconvenience this has caused, and I thank you for your grace and understanding as we are at the mercy of our providers. Please know that we are taking every possible step to find alternate service possibilities. Until that time, please continue to utilize alternate means of communication during outages as disseminated by our school offices.
