Our very own Parker Burk has been nominated for the Max Preps Indiana High School Athlete of the Week. In just one half last Friday, Parker scored eight TDs in a 68-12 win over Union City. He carried the ball eight times for 182 yards and seven TDs and caught one pass for 21 yards and a TD.

South Henry Families...at the start of the pandemic, federal funding was utilized at South Henry to provide internet connectivity assistance in homes to many of our families in the form of either "hot spots" through Verizon Wireless or supplemental Wi-Fi payments through NLBC. This is a reminder that funding for this initiative will expire at the end of September, 2022. "Hot spots" will no longer function and supplemental payments to NLBC will end after September 30th. Go Titans!

Amazing news! We are elated to announce that the South Henry School Corporation is one of only 58 School Corporations in Indiana to receive the Employability Skills Grant for 2022-23. The grant will provide over $132,000.00 in funding to help students showcase proficiency in Indiana Employability Skills. It will also help us develop community and business partnerships to better blur the lines between pre-K-12, higher education, and the workforce through career exploration, engagement, and experiences.
We are so excited for what this could bring for our students. Great things are happening at South Henry!
Reminder! South Henry's Back to School Night is tonight from 5-6:30PM. Additionally, we are aware of a situation that occurred in New Castle this afternoon with a reported accidental call/report to 911. All information is stating that the situation was a false alarm. IMPORTANT REMINDER! Tomorrow is the first day of school for students and we are so excited! As communicated previously, the Federal Government will no longer be providing free lunches for every child during the 2022-2023 school year as they have done the past few years. Applications for free and reduced-priced meals are now available. We strongly recommend completing this application prior to the start of school so that your child does not start accruing charges.
