Work has picked up again this week on our baseball diamond remodel. The aging fence around the diamond is being replaced with a new, black vinyl coated fence. This, and a new outfield windscreen, were made possible through a generous donation from our friends at Henry Community Health. Great things are happening at South Henry!

Due to the incoming winter weather, there will no activities or practices at Tri Jr/Sr High after 3 pm on Thursday, December 22 or all day on Friday, December 23. Practices scheduled for Monday morning, December 26 will be dependent upon the severity of the winter weather. Please be safe!

We have been made aware that some students are in possession of Chromebook chargers that can potentially become frayed and pose a fire or shock hazard to students and others. Out of an abundance of caution, these chargers should no longer be used and should be turned in for replacement tomorrow. Tonight, the South Henry School Corporation honored two special individuals: -Terry Irwin was honored for his 12 years of service to the Board. All told, Terry has almost 50 years of service to our school corporation. We are so thankful for Terry’s lasting impact on so many. Titan Families, As we enter into cold and flu season, this is a friendly reminder that after illness, students should be fever-free and have no signs of a fever (chills, feeling very warm, flushed appearance, or sweating) without the use of fever-reducing medicine for at least 24 hours before returning to school. This is in accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines to reduce illness. Students should also follow these same guidelines for vomiting and episodes of diarrhea. We appreciate your help as we work to keep our students happy and healthy this winter season. Go Titans!

Congratulations to the Tri Elementary School Spell Bowl Team for finishing in first place in their division at their local competition this past week and 54th overall in Indiana. As previously announced, our very own Tri Jr./Sr. High School principal, Mr. Scott Widner, was named the 2022 Indiana Association of School Principals Region 6 Principal of the Year. He finally received his hardware and was recognized at a banquet this past weekend. We are incredibly fortunate to have Mr. Widner leading our Titan family! Great things are happening at South Henry!
