Our very own Parker Burk has been nominated for the Max Preps Indiana High School Athlete of the Week. In just one half last Friday, Parker scored eight TDs in a 68-12 win over Union City. He carried the ball eight times for 182 yards and seven TDs and caught one pass for 21 yards and a TD.

Amazing news! We are elated to announce that the South Henry School Corporation is one of only 58 School Corporations in Indiana to receive the Employability Skills Grant for 2022-23. The grant will provide over $132,000.00 in funding to help students showcase proficiency in Indiana Employability Skills. It will also help us develop community and business partnerships to better blur the lines between pre-K-12, higher education, and the workforce through career exploration, engagement, and experiences.
We are so excited for what this could bring for our students. Great things are happening at South Henry!
Reminder! South Henry's Back to School Night is tonight from 5-6:30PM. Additionally, we are aware of a situation that occurred in New Castle this afternoon with a reported accidental call/report to 911. All information is stating that the situation was a false alarm. There is, and never was, any threat to the safety of the South Henry family. Evening activities will proceed as scheduled. Go Titans!

As communicated previously, the Federal Government will no longer be providing free lunches for every child during the 2022-2023 school year as they have done the past few years. Applications for free and reduced-priced meals are now available. We strongly recommend completing this application prior to the start of school so that your child does not start accruing charges. Due to severe weather and hazardous road conditions, the South Henry School Corporation will be CLOSED and students will have an eLearning Day tomorrow, Friday, February 4, 2022. Decisions in regards to the girls basketball sectional and wrestling regional scheduled for this weekend have not yet been made. Information will be communicated as soon as more is known. Go Titans!
Due to current power outages and the uncertainty of the future, we are going to adjust our virtual learning plan for today and Friday (if necessary).
At this time, no official "call" has been made on the status of school for Friday. Look for that information to be communicated later this afternoon/this evening.
Here are the changes:
*We will not continue to follow the google meets bell schedule for the remainder of today nor tomorrow (if necessary)
*teachers will post learning activities on google classrooms; please understand that some teachers are currently without power and these activities may not be immediately available. Teachers will post learning activities when power is restored.
*Student attendance will be based upon the completion of assigned learning activities
*Learning activities for both days (if necessary) are due at the end of the school day on Tuesday, February 8th
