Car Rider Drop Off/Pick Up Procedures

Morning Drop Off

 1. All students for both Tri Elementary School and Tri High School will be dropped off at doors 2 and 3 at the front of the school. This is the breezeway between the two schools and students may enter either door.

 2. Vehicles should enter the front drive area of the school from the south, either off of CR 700 or SR 103. Traffic flow is one way from the south going to the north.

 3. All vehicles dropping students off must stay in the right lane closest to the school. The center lane will be a through lane and is not to be used to drop off students.

 4. After dropping students off vehicles may move into the through lane to exit to SR 103 at the north drive.

 5. At no time should any vehicle be parked and left unattended while in either the drop off or through lanes.  Additional visitor parking that should be used in the event that someone would need to park a vehicle and enter the building is located in front of the schools.

Afternoon Pick Up

 1. Tri Elementary students will be picked up at the north door 5. Vehicles may line up in the two lanes closest to the school for afternoon pick up only at TES.  Staff members will release vehicles once the students are inside their vehicle.

 2. Tri High students will be picked up in front of the main entrance at door 1 or the southwest gym entrance at door 21. THS pick up will only be in the single lane closest to the school.

  3. Vehicles will continue to enter the front drive area of the school from the south, either off of CR 700 or SR 103. Traffic flow is one way from the south to the north.

 4. All vehicles picking students up must stay in the right lane closest to the school. The center lane will be a through lane and is not to be used to pick up students.

 5. After picking up students vehicles may move into the through lane to exit to SR 103 at the north drive.

 6. At no time should any vehicle be parked and left unattended while in either the pick up or through lanes.  Additional visitor parking that should be used in the event that someone would need to park a vehicle and enter the building is located in front of the schools.

Additional Information

 1. There are three crosswalks that should be used when entering either school from the parking area in front of the buildings. One is at the main entrance to TES, one at the main entrance to THS, and one at the southwest gym entrance to THS.

 2. A fourth crosswalk goes from the student parking lot to the southwest gym entrance to THS.

 3. There are ten visitor parking spaces in front of both schools that must be used when an individual needs to come into either building. At no time should any vehicle be left unattended along the curb in front of either school as it interferes with student drop off and pick up and blocks the fire lane in front of the buildings.

 4. Finally, these procedures are designed to help keep everyone safe and to make it easier to drop off and pick up students in front of the schools.
